Because each puppy is a living being not a product we have a strict but fair refund and return policy designed to protect the well-being of both the puppy and the buyer.
📦 Reservation Deposits (Non-Refundable)
To hold a puppy, we require a non-refundable deposit. This guarantees your place in line and covers initial care expenses.
Deposits are not refundable under any circumstances unless we cannot provide the puppy due to a medical issue or unexpected event on our end.
In such rare cases, you may choose to transfer the deposit to a future litter or receive a full refund.
💸 Full Payment Refunds
If you have paid in full but decide before pickup or shipping that you no longer wish to receive the puppy:
A refund will be offered, minus the deposit and any incurred care or travel costs.
If delivery or pickup has already been scheduled, transport fees are non-refundable.
🐶 Return of Puppies After Purchase
We do not offer refunds once a puppy has been picked up or delivered. However, we understand that unforeseen situations can arise.
If you can no longer care for your puppy, we require you to contact us first. We will gladly accept the puppy back at any time to ensure they are safely rehomed.
We do not offer monetary refunds for returned puppies after they leave our care, regardless of the reason.
✅ Health Guarantee & Vet Verification
We provide a 72-hour health guarantee from the time of pickup or delivery:
If a licensed veterinarian finds a serious genetic or life-threatening condition within 72 hours, and written documentation is provided, we will offer a replacement puppy (if available) or discuss options based on the specific case.
We are not responsible for health issues resulting from buyer neglect, improper care, injury, or delayed vet visits.
🔁 Rehoming Assistance
If at any point you can no longer care for your Dachshund, Dachshunds Haven will assist in rehoming the puppy. No refund is offered, but we ensure a safe new home is found.
